Can terrorism destroy democracy?
Yes, I think the way governments are dealing with terrorism is destroying the democracy because the war is not the answer for terrorism because then you use the means that they use. Then we are going towards a society, not tyranny, but a society where everybody are suspects for being terrorists.
What is wrong with democracy?
I think we have different views of what democracy is, so if I think democracy is equality and everybody has equal opportunities in life, so someone else can think other way. And we both think that the democracy that we think is the right democracy.
Why bother to vote?
To vote is the only means that you can somehow say what you think. You vote for your opinion. But nowadays these elections have turned out to be personal elections, you vote for the most popular, the one you have seen on TV or some where else. There is a possibility that you are not voting for your opinion but for man or woman who is familiar from the media.
Are women more democratic than men?
Yes, women are more democratic than men because they have to be. It’s hard to cope in this medieval aged men’s world.
Is democracy fair for everyone?
I think the ideal democracy is about equality but I think that nowadays in this world we are living, you know…you think, like Finland is democratic state, but it’s not equal. So in that sense my opinion is that democracy is not equal.
Is God democratic?
Is God democratic? There are so many different religions, you mean Christian God, or Islamic, or what? All the religion are created by men and on all these old books the women are not thought as human beings. So I think God in almost all religions, is not democratic.
What would make you to start a revolution?
I don’t think there is a reason to start a revolution. If it means civil war or something like that. But I can go to barricades for several reasons, for peace, for equality, for the rights of children and against starvation. So there are several reasons to go to barricades but not to start a revolution. Because for me in revolution there´s always arms and violence involved. I think because of history of revolution.
Are dictators ever good?
I have never heard of dictator who is a good guy, so my answer is no, they are not good guys.
Can democracy solve the climate change?
It’s people who are dealing with the climate change, so it’s not democracy who is going to solve the problem with the climate. People who are living in democracy, and what they think is a democratic way of handling it.
