A quesiton to readers from Western countries

We know that tourists from China bring huge cash to Las Vegas, and other cities. The statistics show Chinese tourists rank #1 in spending per person by Japan, and some other countries. Russia, North Korea and Burma etc built Casinos on the border to arract Chinese gamblers. The official number is about $80 Billion a year was spent in Casinos along Chinese border.

Personally, I do not think hard working people will go gamble in overseas, especially spend that much cash.

My question is: the tourists from China bring business to many cities. It is welcome. But if you think most tourists who spend a lot are government officials, what do you think? Do you respect them? Admire them?

I know, most people give credit to the development of Chinese economy, if you think the average income level in China - $120/month is a good pay for most workers, what conclusion will you have if you see an official spend $5000 on one shopping trip?

I do not blame any body here, even those officials, I think the problem is not individual, it is a system problem.
